Dear colleagues and friends,
We are pleased to inform you that the "III Workshop and Training Course for International Relations in Medicine 2013" , organized by the International Relations and Mobility Office of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, will be held in Porto, Portugal, from May 13th-17th, 2013. On behalf of the Organizing Committee we would like to invite you to join us in Porto.
The WTC will be available for a minimum of 25 and a maximum of 50 participants and is specifically suitable for Directors of Medical Schools, Institutional Coordinators and Staff of International Offices directly involved in Student and Teacher Mobility, Medical Education, Medical Curriculum and/or working with medical students.
We will do our best to guarantee a valuable scientific, educational and social experience for all participants. In line with this, this year we have introduced significant changes in WTC program, such as a Poster Area and several interactive sessions called “working with small groups”. Through the efforts of the working group coordinators, these sessions will take place in a friendly and stimulating atmosphere, and the participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, experiences and research results. In addition, within the general topics of each session, they will have also the opportunity to indicate, in advance, medical/research experts from FMUP with whom they would like to share a working session.
Thus, this year the main goal of the WTC will be to carry on with, and to further stimulate, networking in mobility, medical education and research, taking advantage of common interests and of previous collaborations and contacts.
To apply please submit your application online until 15th March 2013.
All information about arrival, how to get to FMUP and accommodation will be sent to all the participants after registration.
We will send a confirmation of acceptance to the applicants by April 1st 2013.
Please find enclosed the preliminary program.
If you have further questions or need any information, please let us know.
We are looking forward to welcoming you and spending a great time in Porto.
